Doggy Treats

I recently found out that the government has a new program that will pay you around $5,000 if you sell your house as a short sale since you have fallen on bad times.
Isn't just allowing people to sell their house short and the government helping the banks out with our tax money enough!? Now they are using our money to reward people for not paying their mortgage.
It is estimated that at least half of the people that are doing short sales and foreclosing on their homes really can make the payments, but they just don't want to since the value has dropped. That means this program is like offering your dog a treat for pooping on the carpet! Don't make incentives with my tax money to people who are ripping off the American public.
